Hollywood actresses tend to get their inspiration straight from the catwalk.
But in a nod to the era covered in her new film Drew Barrymore donned a Roaring Twenties style stunning Alberta Ferretti gown for the premiere of her film Grey Gardens last night.

In a flap: Actress Drew Barrymore took inspiration from the Roaring Twenties for her red carpet look at the premiere of film Grey Gardens last night
Barrymore, 34, accessorised the stunning nude, silver sequin and embellished tulle gown from Ferretti’s 2009 Autumn/Winter collection with a nude coloured veil and a slash of classic red lipstick for the premiere at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York.
And with her hair teased into a Marcel wave, she looked just like a silent movie film star - with the exaggerated poses to match.
Standing alongside the film’s co-stars Jessica Lange, 59, and Jeanne Tripplehorn, 45, Drew certainly commanded the limelight with her look which harked back to cinema’s golden age.

Hair apparent: Drew wore her hair in a Twenties style Marcel wave complete with beaded net headdress which covered her face

On-screen family: Drew with Grey Gardens co-stars, Jessica Lange who plays mother Big Edie and Jeanne Tripplehorn who plays Jacqueline Onassis

Back together? Drew was reunited with on/off love Justin Long at the afterparty
